 Ebeltoft Museum

Established in 1909, Ebeltoft Museum is housed in the town''s famous landmark - the Old Town Hall - where exhibitions dealing with the history of the town are displayed. The museum also makes use of a building behind the Old Town Hall. This building houses the Siamese Collection, an unusual collection of natural and cultural artefacts from the ancient kingdom of Siam, known today as Thailand.
The museum also runs Farvergården, which is one of the most distinctive and well-preserved farm environments in Ebeltoft. Farvergården once housed an active crafts business, where yarn was dyed and cloth woven for area farmers.
An affiliated department of Ebeltoft Museum is the old rectory at Helgenæs - right next to Helgenæs Church. Exhibitions there deal in particular with the cultural history of Helgenæs, which was once strongly influenced by local farmers, who ran a large eel hatchery. Also on display at the farm is a reconstruction of a Viking Age pit house that was excavated at Helgenæs.
